I'm really considering joining the sheriffs dept do they train you?

I have a weapons permit along with a guard card and I need a steady job that will pay me and help take care of my children. I'm a single mother and I gotta make sure my family is taken care of. I find that it can be a risk taking job but I'm tired of struggling! Any tips ladies or gentlemen?
