Who should be held in higher reverence, Jesus or Einstein?
As a physicist, Einstein was a genius as everyone acknowledges, but it doesn't follow that he was wise about everything else. But the statement you quote above is exactly right. It is a fairly simple reality that morals, ethics and laws are not the creation or idea of some supra-human being or creator. Those principles are merely necessities, which enable mankind to live in each others company, and to form societies. However, to make that statement and call himself an agnostic, is flawed, and is in fact a kind of 'sitting on the fence' attitude. Sounds to me like he was an atheist.
