Is the pope all there?

why would the pope make a statement= the jews are not guilty of the death of jesus(yahushua), has he ever really read the testaments? the powerful and rich jews decided he was too popular, and too much of a threat to their system. it has taken 2000 years for a man in a position of god-like reverence, which is abhorred emphatically by god, to deny a fact that is evident in the new testament.
