Word? Can I say something like this, meaning...?

You could use it, but, you need to be prepared for people take it the wrong way.. My dictionary defines tribute as ''(an) expression of praise, thanks etc'' therefore you could justify using tribute as an expression of thanks... Kind of thing.. I dont know now i've confused myself haha
