Asking her out (girls only preferably)?

Well im 14 and theres this girl in my grade who i personally think is the perfect kind of person. She is smart, funny, and i think she is really cute (a lot of people say shes not, but i really don't give a f***). I have been hanging out with her a lot lately and we have a lot of fun together and can have down-to-earth conversations without a problem. I like her a lot. I really have been urging to say something, but I REALLy don't think she feels the same way, even though if you saw us together you would think so. I am not one of the "hot" guys (not by a long shot) even though im pretty popular. And i personally think that whole judging by looks system most of us teens use today is really stupid. Also, all the girls in my grade are attracted to the real D-bags of the grade. I even asked her why they are, and she said it was because the girls like it more when a guy comes clean about it instead having them say it to the guy. I just don't know if i should say something. I am very smart and i think she finds me funny. I'm not disrespectful and I watch what I say in front of her and other girls. I guess Im somewhat of a gentleman. She has blonde hair and is a little short, but she has a great laugh and smile. Not even my closest friends know about my crush because they all think she isn't pretty or anything (which again i completely disagree with). They pretty much fall under that "judging by looks" category. This question is mostly just me venting. This has actually helped me a little bit. But, should I say anything? Like I said, I am not the one to be brought up in conversation about dating or anything but should i say something to get it off my chest? Thanks for reading and not to sound like a wuss or anything but if you have nothing nice to say, please just don't say it. I know this isnt much of a "question", but i would appreciate some feedback. Thanks.
